Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

B's London Restaurant Guide

B's London Restaurant Guide

I ate so well in London, and knowing my parent’s London food stories from a decade or so ago, I can tell it has seriously improved. London has definitely become my favorite city and the food, of course, is a big part of that. Check out below reviews and pics from my favorite restaurants!

Ffiona’s

The two times I have ever been in London, we’ve always gone the first night to Ffiona’s and it’s the perfect welcome in to the city. It’s casual and homey, Fiona herself serves you (such a character!), and it’s such good London comfort food but with a bit of a twist.  For appetizer a tried grilled avocado which was so good (recipe on that soon) and for my entree I went classic with fish and chips.  It’s located in Kensington and if you want to try really good, pretty typical food, this is the place for you.

Cafe Murano

This Italian restaurant was a new place for us, thanks to Gwyneth Paltrow’s recommendation, and I can’t wait to go back! It had typical Italian food and appetizers but I didn’t feel overstuffed at all, it was actually pretty light.  For appetizers I loved the truffle aranccini, cod smash toasts and the octopus.  For entree I had seriously the best pasta ever, spaghetti with broccolini, asparagus and a dollop of ricotta cheese, it was the perfect mix between fresh, green but hearty. I’m seriously still dreaming of this place!

La Petite Maison

La Petite has the best of both worlds, great ambiance and amazing food.  It kinda reminds me of Le Bilboquet back in NYC, but even better! We had so many plates, I barely remember but I loved the tuna tartare and scallop carpaccio.  Also the veal ragu is a definite must.

River Cafe

River Cafe is definitely my favorite restaurant in London, we went Friday andSunday! It serves a lot of Italian food but it also has other great fish plates and amazing appetizers.  The best day to go though is for sure on Sundays.  It was such  a beautiful day the Sunday we went and they have tables placed right by the river and the place is just beautiful, a great balance between modern and nature! For dessert I had the best dessert I have tried ever, an almond and strawberry tart, it was so delicious and incredible and we were so obsessed out of the 8 in the table 5 ordered it!

Other great places worth checking out:

Koffmann’s (Berkeley Hotel)

The Wolseley

Gymkhana (Indian restaurant)
