Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

St. Barth's Travel Guide

St. Barth's Travel Guide

Besides Puerto Rico, it’s easy to say that St. Barth’s is by far my favorite island of all time.  I’ve been coming since I was little and each time I find new things to do, places to eat and shop. And I never get tired of it! It’s full of warm sand surrounded by clear, blue water, views that will take your breath away, incredible nightlife, all sorts of boutiques from high end to local… Here are my tips and suggestions if you decide to go, trust me, you will not regret it.

St. Barth’s has tons of options on where to stay. Depending on how long my vacation is I either rent a house or if it’s a quick getaway, I’ll stay at a hotel.

For houses, Sibarth is an amazing company that has all sorts of options all over the island, with a range in prices and style just as big.  They pick you up at the airport, offer both concierge and cleaning services.  For a stay of a week or more, staying in a house allows you a more homey feel, you can hire a chef for a night in…

As for hotels, there are so many all around the island.  If it’s your first time I recommend the Tom Beach Hotel.  It has it’s own restaurant right on the beach, of course called “La Plage” and it’s right in St. Jean, the center of everything so you have beach but also you’re right by cute local boutiques, the supermarket, etc.

Restaurants in St. Barth’s are very special.  You can find some with food that feels like your grandma cooked it, others where come the night (or 3pm) and it turns in a huge party, and others where you can eat a meter of your favorite pizza. These are my favorites.

Nikki Beach

This is a MUST on Sundays, the days they hold incredible theme parties right on the beach! All the waiters dress up and really go all out with decorations.  The menu has tons of options from sushi, a sushi BOAT rotisserie chicken, pasta with black truffles, and hamburger sliders.  Get ready to see Superman deliver a huge bottle of Dom Perignon or Cristal along to the Star Wars theme song, and make sure to get a sturdy table because you’ll be dancing on it all day!

L’Isoletta

L’Isoletta is a pizza place located in Gustavia, the capital of SBH. For a night when you’re in the mood for something more casual but really good (and you’re starving) this is the place for you.  L’Isolettea has really good antipasti but what they’re really known for is for selling incredible pizza, by the meter!! you can order half, but if you’re a group (or a foodie family of four like mine) go for the meter!

Maya’s

When you’re feeling like having a nice, home cooked meal, this is the place to go.  Maya’s is casual yet intimate and it’s run by Maya herself and her husband. The menu is always different and Maya cooks it all herself, she definitely makes sure you’re eating the best quality ingredients, like you’re right at home.

Other faves and musts:

-  La Guerite

-  Sand Bar, Eden Rock (the truffle pizza and the salmon crispy rice sushi are a MUST)

-  Bagatelle

-  La Cabane de L’isle, Le Cheval Blanc

-  Tamarin

-  Le repaire

-  Santa Fe

Gustavia

Gustavia is the capital of SBH.  When the day just isn’t for being on the beach, go for lunch and shop in Gustavia. It’s easy to just walk along the streets where you’ll find cute local boutiques like Poupette and Wild Side, but also luxury stores like Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Hermès.

Le Ti

Le Ti is very peculiar. It’s high up on the mountains of St. Barths, and it is definitely a must for post dinner partying.  They have waitresses dancing around and performing burlesque shows, an incredible cocktail and champagne menu, and if you’re lucky, they’ll even grab you and your friends to dress up in crazy costumes and dance on the tables!

There’s so much more to do in SBH, I can’t even write it all down! It’s such a special fun island, I always can’t wait to go back. I’ll be sure to post a travel diary real soon so you can get a glimpse of how it is, and hopefully soon you’ll see for yourselves!
