My Skincare Routine
I can't stress enough the importance of maintaining a consistent skincare routine!! I think it's just as important brushing you teeth day and night. I always notice the difference from when I'm strict about my routine or when I slack off, I immediately start getting blemished, plus, it feels so nice to have fresh, smooth skin so why not? After trying out so many different products from Proactiv to Clean & Clear to Clinique, I've finally found one that works best for my skin and I think is really good for any skin tone, including oily and blemish-prone skin.
To remove my make up, I use with Bioderma Sensibio H20 with a cotton round. This is my favorite make up remover by far because it's not oily at all, instead it's really fresh and cool.
Like any girl, I can get really lazy to take off my makeup after a night out, so I always keep Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes on my nightstand so I can easily remove all of my makeup right from my bed. With these wipes, I don't feel weird about not washing my face with some water because it leaves my skin fresh, not yucky at all.
For cleanser, Avène Cleanance Cleaning Gel is my favorite by far. It focuses on avoiding oiliness and blemishes, but I think it works great on any skin type! I feel like I don't really have a specific type of skin and for years I've used this and it works great.
After washing my face, I wet a cotton round with a little of Avène Cleanance Mattifying Toner. Like the Bioderma, it is super cool and refreshing and removes all oils from your skin so you don't look shiny.
Finally, I apply a pea-sized amount of Avène Clearance Mattifying Emulsion on my palm and rub it all over my face and neck. The formula to this lotion is great because it's hydrating yet very moisturizing, not heavy at all, but gets the job done.
Whether I go on to bed or to do my make up, I always feel so much better with a fresh, clean face and no matter if you use these products or any other, never forget to have a disciplined skincare routine, because trust me, it's so worth it.
