ABC Carpet & Home
My parents are currently remodeling some parts of my house back in Puerto Rico, so when they came to visit me last weekend we went to different showrooms and home stores and I went crazy... My mom is an interior architect/designer, so I've always been surrounded by anything to do with arquitecture and furniture and I actually really enjoy it. Ask any of my friends and they can tell you that I love going on Zillow, a real estate app to see different houses on the market or on Houzz, my favorite. Houzz is an app full of thousands of photos of different houses of any style from Eclectic to Mediterranean, from Mid Century to Victorian and any and every part of a house too! It's insane, I haven't gone on it in a while because it's literally too much for me to handle, I save hundreds of photos and want everything. I feel so bad for the architect and decorator of my future house.
Anyways, back to the point. One of the places we went to is ABC Carpet & Home. It's a huge furniture and carpet store with tons of floors and there is so. much. stuff. You don't even have to go because you're building or remodeling a house, if you're ever bored walking around downtown (888 and/or 881 & Broadway) and want to do something, hop in to ABC, I guarantee you'll really entertain yourself. It's almost like going to a museum, maybe even slightly more fun, and I'm an Art History student... It even has its own restaurant and cafe!
I can't even begin to describe how awesome it is, not to sound cheesy but it's magical! They have every style possible and everywhere it's full of stuff it feels like a Turkish Bazaar, but it's not too crowded, it's organized too. It really is a must, even if you just go in once, because I'm not even doing it justice.
